Bret "Ben" Alan Carson, 46, with his family by his side returned home to his Father in Heaven on Sunday, April 15, in Orlando, Florida.
Born with Down Syndrome, Ben was a gift from Heaven to his family. From the day he was born he displayed a strong will to survive and thrive in this life. His tender heart and gentle nature touched all who knew him. Ben had an infectious smile and loved to make people laugh. Ben didn't know a stranger and displayed unconditional love and compassion to all. Some of Ben's favorite things in life were swimming, watching movies, parades, coloring (with a ball point pen), fireworks, and celebrating holidays. Ben loved music, especially Elvis Presley and the Beach Boys. Ben had a strong testimony of Jesus Christ and would bear that testimony in church. Though limited in his speech, his spirit was felt by all who heard him.
Ben is survived by his parents, Earl Michael and Joyce Spencer Carson, brother Michael Todd Carson (Desiree Carson) and nieces; Arianna and Elena Carson, nephews; Ethan and Gabriel Carson. He also has many special aunts, uncles and countless cousins who adored and loved him very much. Each member of this large family has been blessed by Ben's love and example.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 28th at 2:00 PM, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints 3001 South Apopka Vineland Road, Orlando.
Arrangements are by Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (East Orlando Chapel).
