Bruce Hinman Sr., age 63 of Orlando, passed away on Sunday, Feb 12, 2012 at Florida Hospital East Orlando. He was born on May 12, 1948 in Fulton, New York to Edwin O. Hinman and Elizabeth Strikwerda. He worked as a roofing contractor and later worked for Orange County until his retirement 10 years ago. His hobbies included computers, electronic gadgets, guns, cars, gardening and watching birds eat from their bird feeder outside his office window. He was head of his neighborhood watch committee and was an avid follower and member of the N.R.A.
He loved to talk politics and was a devoted family man.
He is survived by his wife, Hannelore Hinman of Orlando, FL; Son, Bruce Edwin Hinman Jr. and his wife Kelli of Harrisburg, PA; Daughter, Gina Mae Hinman of Orlando, FL; Step-Daughter, Lori Call Cervantes and her husband Salvador of Orlando, FL; Step-Son, Stephen Michael Call of Orlando, FL; Sister, Valerie Hinman Joiner of Palm Beach Gardens, FL; Brother, Wayne Hinman of Summerville, SC; Sister-in-Law, Mary Jane Hinman of Summerville, SC; 8 grandchildren, Anthony, Bruce Paul, Cody, Joshua, Zachary, Devin, Mia, and Isabela; niece, Renee Hinman Herndon of Summerville, SC, and 2 great nephews, Jacob and Eddie Herndon.
He showed his love for life and others by giving a helping hand to all he knew.
Bruce touched the lives of many and will be missed by all of them
