Calvin Earl Small, 77, entered into eternal rest the evening of January 18, 2019 with family by his side.
Mr. Small was born July 15, 1941 in Waterloo Manchester Jamaica, West Indies, to Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Small.
He attended Waterloo Elementary School and later attended Cobla Camp Trade School in Mandeville, Jamaica. Calvin moved to Kingston, Jamaica where he met his childhood sweetheart, Dorothy Commock, at a young age. He worked as a taxi driver for several years before immigrating to the United States in 1967. While residing in Brooklyn, New York, Calvin obtained an Engineering Degree and went on to work for Pepsi Cola Bottling Company as an engineer.
Calvin and his wife made the decision to retire early and moved to Florida, where they traveled and dabbled in real estate. He enjoyed spending time with family, friends, and neighbors. Calvin also enjoyed watching wrestling, football, and basketball.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Small; Sons Earl and Everton Small; Daughter Annmarie Eason; Brothers Renford, Hector, Renel, Kenneth; Sisters Ena Small, Veta Davis, Dobsie Estrieme; Grandchildren Shanasha and Anandi Small; a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws, and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Small; Brothers Lebert and Joel Small.
The relatives and friends of Calvin and Mrs. Small are invited to attend the viewing and funeral service in First Baptist Orlando church Saturday, February 2, 2019, at 10:00 and 11:00 a.m. respectively. The family will receive friends at Heathrow Country Club in Lake Mary after the funeral service from 1:00-4:00 p.m.
