FRANZEN, Carl Hilmer, age 78 from Orlando, FL, passed away Monday, April 22, 2013 from Alzheimer's at Spring Creek Nursing Home in Dayton, OH.
Carl was a retired employee from Martin Marietta. He was an active Toastmaster, volunteered and was Chairman of the Red Cross and Red Cross Sailing Club.
He is survived by his children: Theresa Pelaez of Vandalia, OH, David Franzen and Dawn Naylor both of Orlando; 6 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 7:30 PM on Wed. May 1, 2013 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 895 S. Goldenrod Road, Orlando. A special thanks to Spring Creek and Crossroads Hospice for providing excellent care for our Dad. Donations may be made to Crossroads Hospice, 10810 E. 45th Street, Suite 300, Tulsa, OK 74146 or to the Alzheimer's Association, Miami Valley Chapter, 3797 Summit Glen Drive, Suite G100, Dayton, OH 45449.
