Carmen L Cortes

October 1, 1935 — January 11, 2023

Carmen L. "Billy" Cortes Albaladejo, was called home by her Lord and Savior at the age of 87, on January 11, 2023.

She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and most recently great-great grandmother. Above all she was a wonderful woman of God, who loved the Lord above all else and dedicated her life to Jesus at a young age. She was a true prayer warrior and one after another her prayers have been answered, with a lot more to come.

She married the love of her life at 16 years old and they were happily married for almost 71 years. Theirs was a true love story. They were completely in love since the moment they met and forever inseparable. Their eyes met one day while she was walking home from school and were immediately in love. Their love was so genuine, pure and timeless. Cucho, as she affectionately called him, was truly the love of her life. They both were faithful to the vows they said on August 16, 1952, "Till death do us part." He was with her until the end.

She is survived by her husband, Jose C. "Cucho" Albaladejo, her daughter Maritza "Mary", her two granddaughters, Maritza "Marisita" and Marielis "Leli", two great-grandchildren Amanda and Antonio, one 3-month-old great-great grandson, Anakin and a grandson in-law, Corey.

Billy only knew how to love 100%. She gave her all to her family and was always there to support, lend a helping hand, cook wonderful meals and laugh. Her laughter was so contagious. She will be greatly missed, but we know that very soon we will be together again. Heaven has gained an angel, a true angel here on earth and now in heaven.

We all miss you so very much and love you even more! Until we meet again Billy, Mami, and Mama!
