She was the sixth of eight daughters and three sons. She was the daughter of Roque Cruz and Leonarda Velazquez, who have since gone to be with the Lord. She lived 37 years in Loraine, Ohio where she met the love of her life and her husband of 44 years, José Antonio Negrón, and were married on the 20th of January of 1962 in Las Piedras, Puerto Rico. During this beautiful union, God blessed them with three children: José Luis Negrón (María), Richard Negrón, and Milagros Negrón. They established their home in Loraine, Ohio for 24 years, and then moved to Orlando, Florida where they resided for the remainder of their lives. She was among the favorite aunts of all her nieces and nephews and never failed to make them feel equally as special. She was a motherly figure to all and was always there to provide advice and words of encouragement, a constant pillar of love and dependability for her friends and family. Over the years, she received an abundance of love from the friendships and relationships she acquired and all of which became close family ties. Her house and her kitchen were always open to everyone and never failed to provide a kind word and warm meal filled with the same love that she added to our lives and our hearts.
