Crawford, Carol C.

June 29, 1921 – April 30, 2005
While we grieve the passing of our mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother we also celebrate the years she was with us. She was always loving, kind, forgiving and faithful to her Lord and Savior, and to her family.
While we miss her, more than we can take in, we come to realize what matters most is what she accomplished in the years she lived, the years between her birth and her death.
When she was in her early thirties a Christian neighbor came to her home and asked her, with her bible in tow, if she could visit. Mom told the neighbor that she was very busy, but the dear neighbor pressed in (like the women in the parable who pressed in to touch the hem of the robe of Jesus) and insisted it would only take but a minute. Being the well mannered person she was, she invited her in. The neighbor told her the story of Moses and how he held up the bronze snake for the people to look at. Those who could look at it, could and would be saved (Numbers 21:7-9). Mom's life had been changed forever.
Her belief that Christ was her risen Lord and Savior changed not only her life, but my life as well. She taught me about Jesus and in turn I have shared this good news with my children and grandchildren.
All that matters in life is that we have Christ! Mom, thank you for a life worth living and for the profound affect you had on so many of us. We are all glad you are home safe with the Lord. We love you so much and will miss you greatly.
