Carol Marie (Jackson) Cunningham was a caring wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, Aunt and friend. She fell asleep in death on February 19, 2023 at UCF Hospital Lake Nona in Orlando, FL.

She was the first born daughter of Walter Wyatt Jackson and Velva Lee Taliaferro on December 5, 1948. She was also raised by a loving father Murrell Johnson. She is survived by her great and loving husband Otis Henry Cunningham, (daughter) Dana Cunningham, (Son ) Justin Cunningham and (Granddaughters) Xiomara Cunningham and Brianna Cunningham, Bro Kenneth Jackson (Wife Phyllis, (sister) Kay Johnson, (Sister) Dawn Poindexter and her husband Brian as well as many close friends, nieces, nephews and extended family. She is preceded in death by her (Grandmother) Colena Taliaferro, (Parents-Velva T. Johnson and Murrell Johnson, (Brother) Murrell Johnson, JR.

Carol married her husband Otis Cunningham March 17, 1979 and lived 44 years together. They enjoyed living their spiritual life of preaching together, building projects, assemblies and conventions. They enjoyed traveling to Williamsburg and to Virginia Beach on vacation. Carol was known for her caring and giving heart. She touched all those she came in contact with. She was a loyal servant as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. All her life she enjoyed gardening, journalism, music, animals, traveling and shopping. Kenneth mentions, "My sister always loved Fashion her whole life". She enjoyed dressing well. She loved to match and be creative in her style.

After graduating High School, she became a Nurse and practiced many years in many facets of nursing including the Hospital emergency, Operating room, Delivery room, Nursing homes, private duty respite care and retired caring for children and adults with additional, needs. She always called them her babies and they called her "Mama". Her Family and friends loved her dearly as well.

Carol's love and care did not stop there, it went much further. In 1970, she began to study the Bible and learn about Jehovah God with Joyce Miller. July 15, 1972 she dedicated her life to Jehovah and was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. She expressed previous interest in God's word the bible and was pleased to have the opportunity to serve God. After being baptized a year, she was approved to attend an International Convention in Europe in 1973. She was so thrilled to visit Paris, France, Germany, Belgium, Pompei, Rome, Italy and many other places with thousands of her new worldwide spiritual family. During her pre baptism she was eager to attend meetings and loved preaching messages of Good news, especially living forever. One thing she was the most thrilled about was Psalms 83:18- Yes that God has a name "Jehovah". She enjoyed many years of this preaching work. Earlier in life she did everything she could for everyone. She was known for writing cards to everyone, calling or texting them to encourage everyone.

Although she is and will be missed very much, we believe in Jehovah's promise of a resurrection. The family thanks everyone for the meals, cards, flowers and gifts in many ways during this difficult time.
