Mrs. Carolyn F. Boyer, age 83, passed away on Monday, January 29, 2018 in Orlando, Florida. Carolyn was born on September 21, 1934 in Toccoa, Georgia to parents Hoke and Jewel Jordan. Carol was born at home in a little 3 bedroom house that is no longer there by Dr. Terrell and she weighed 8 lbs and had dark hair.
Carol thoroughly enjoyed Military life as Military wife. She retired from Martin Marietta in Orlando. She loved singing and playing organ, sang in several choirs and sang on the WLET Radio as a teenager. Carol graduated from Stephens County High School in 1951 and was described in her high school yearbook as always neat and attractive, she was also voted as "cutest" along with her classmate Lamar Davis.
Carol and her husband James Boyer moved to McCoy Air Force Base 1968, where Carol was the office manager of the Officers club. She met her best friends Etta and Jim Gaskins during that time and they remained close friends all their life.
Carol is preceded by her husband James and daughter Janet Luxon. She is survived by her Brother, Gerald and his wife Joanne Jordan; daughters, Debbie Reason of Orlando, Sherry Strange of Sanford, Suzann and her husband Hector Lopez of Seminole, Florida, her son Gregory Boyer of Orlando; nine beautiful very loved grandchildren; and numerous loving great grandchildren. She also leaves behind numerous loving relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held from 9:00 - 10:00 AM on Friday, February 2, 2018 at Conway First Baptist Church, 4000 S Conway Rd, Orlando, FL 32812. The funeral service will begin at 10:00 AM. Interment will take place at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.
