Carolyn McSwain, born in Shelby, NC to Benjamin and Girt Mayhew. She was one of 6 children. She married her husband, Toy "Mac" McSwain and traveled with him when he joined the Navy. They raised two sons together, Brian and Barry McSwain. In 1972, they settled in Orlando, Florida.
Carol was blessed with four grandchildren and one great-grandchild whom she adored. She lived for caring for her family and would do anything for them. She was an animal lover and worked at a veterinarian office and gave homes to numerous animals throughout her 75 years. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Jack. She is survived by her siblings: Don, Jim, Cathy and Linda (Shelby, NC) as well as her sons, Brian and Barry McSwain and grandchildren: Amber (Chris), Barry Jr (Brianna), Christina (Nate), and Cara. She also has one great-grandson, Weston. Carolyn made everyone she met feel loved and she will be greatly missed.
