Caryl J. Novell, 78 of Orlando went home to be with the Lord on August 19, 2007. She was born in Akron, Ohio. She graduated with honors from Kent High School and graduated from the University of Akron Nursing program in 1949 where she was President of her class. She went on to be a very successful and well respected Registered Nurse in both Ohio and later Florida over a nearly 50 year period. She was preceded in death by her husband Ned Novell. She is survived by her sons, Scott and Mark, daughter-in-law Angela Novell and Julie Naditz and grandsons, Max Novell and Alex Novell. She was preceded in death by her brother, Terry Argante and survived by sister (and best friend) Claudia Bosshard, brother, Tom Argante and brother-in-law Otto Bosshard and their sons Brad and Eric Bosshard and their wives and children. Over the span of a 53 year marriage, Caryl was a devoted and committed wife, mother and grandmother. Caryl was an active member of both the Chapel on Fir Hill in Akron, Ohio and First Baptist Church of Orlando which she loved. Caryl was the ultimate caregiver to many, including her husband Ned who was a stroke victim for 15 years. She was loved by many and will be deeply missed by all who were involved in her life.
Memorial services will be held at 3:30PM on Thursday, August 23, 2007 in the Marie Williams Chapel of First Baptist Church of Orlando, 3000 S. John Young Parkway, Orlando, FL 32805. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to First Orlando Foundation in memory of Caryl J. Novell at the church address.
