Castulina Colon, 97 of Orlando, FL passed away on March 10, 2025. She was born on March 26, 1927 in Ponce, Puerto Rico to Gregorio Colon and Eugenia Ramos.
Castulina grew up in Puerto Rico and came to the United States in 1957. Castulina was a talented seamstress and loved fashion. She loved to play dominos and played as often as she could. It was tough to beat her any time. At any time, she was always dressed to impress and enjoyed looking good at all times.
Her fashion choice was a decoration of her unique spirit and a reminder to embrace life with wild confidence and passion. Every outfit was a celebration of who Castulina was. Soap operas and music, especially Mariachi music, were her favorites.
A devout Catholic, Castulina was a long time member of St. Isaac Jogues Catholic parish. Her faith was important to her and she passed this legacy down to her family.
Castulina is survived her children: Elliot Ruiz, Sonia Ruiz, Joan Rentas, Harvey Rentas and Raul Rentas; her brother and sisters: Marcelina Colon, Edith Colon and Jose Colon; her 24 grandchildren, her 37 great-grandchildren and her 10 great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husband, William Rentas and her children: Hector Ruiz, James Ruiz and William Rentas.
