Charles A. Polak, Seargeant Major, U.S. Army, Ret. , 74 of Winter Park passed away May 1, 2008. He was born in Lankin, North Dakota.
Seargeant Major Polak spent 25 years in the United States Army and received the Good Conduct Medal, Aircraft Crewman Badge, Srill Sgt Identicication Badge, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, Oversea Bars, Air Medal, Army Commendation Medal and the Bronze Star.
He is survived by his son, John C. Polak; daughter, Denise Wendel; 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Graveside memorial services with full Military Honors will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Thursday, May 8, 2008 at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
