Charles Robert Clark

October 8, 1935 — January 18, 2021

Charles "Bob" Robert Clark, age 85, of Maitland, Florida passed away on Monday, January 18, 2021.He is preceded in death by his parents, Elmer Stuart Clark and Elinor Maurhoff Clark, and brothers, Elmer Stuart Clark and Richard Herbert Clark. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Clark, daughter, Ann C. (Lee) Tacon, son, Michael S. (Bridget) Clark, grandchildren, Lee B. Tacon, III, Phillip R. Tacon, M.D., Alea M. Chandra-Clark, Emma Tacon Gargula, and Connell S. Clark, and great-grandchild, Kaia S.K. Tacon. He is additionally survived by several nephews and nieces. A private service will be held for the family, with a celebration of his life to be held at a later date.

Bob was an Orlando native and a member of Park Lake Presbyterian Church in Orlando. Active in the church, he served as an Elder not only at Park Lake, but also at Maxwell Presbyterian (KY) and First Presbyterian Punta Gorda. As a young man, Bob had the unique honor of attending both Orlando High School and Boone High School, graduating from the latter, before continuing on to graduate from Presbyterian College. He began his career in data processing (now called IT engineering) in the early days of the industry, in retail banking and continued until his retirement in healthcare systems as a senior manager for data, payroll and patient information systems.

Bob had two loves in his life: first and foremost his wife of 61 years, Nancy, and secondly, music. Music was his passion; an accomplished French hornist and vocalist, he was a member of the Bach Festival Society in Winter Park for 40 years, as well as a lifelong member of the Park Lake Presbyterian Choir. He also sang in the Walt Disney World Christmas Choir for decades. His other interests included amateur photography and swimming, as well as having been active in Scouting as a committee member for Boy Scout Troop 200 and Cub Scout Pack 207 (both in Orlando). An intelligent man with an inquisitive nature, Bob continued learning throughout his life, with a drive to know and understand everything. Dedicated to his family, church and music, he was faithful and present to all throughout his life.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made to the Bach Festival Society in honor of Bob Clark, funding a scholarship for young singers in his honor. The link to online donations for the Bach Festival Society is:
