Music was a deep passion of Rusty's. He wrote and recorded many of his own songs and spent over 30 years performing in numerous bands. He also enjoyed taking his 1969 Chevy Nova to many car shows. Or if solitude were desired, camping and fishing were his idea of the perfect vacation.
Rusty cherished spending the holidays with his extended family. He was particularly fond of telling stories about his ancestors or reminiscing about his days as a childhood rodeo champion. He enjoyed the company of his pets, and particularly partial to his beloved Dachshunds, Heinz and Fritz.
He is survived by his lifelong partner Toni Gail Law and his extended family members and many close friends.
