Charles E. Hersey, 75, Orlando, passed away Friday, Nov 9, 2007. Mr. Hersey was a lifelong resident of Florida and loved to fish and hunt. He belonged to the Orange Boating Club for several years and retired from Publix. He served in the U.S. Marines from 1952 – 1954 as an instructor and won several metals as a sharpshooter. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Delia (Dee), 2 Sisters Marie Drake, Jeanette Freeman and 3 children Randy, Rex, Rhonda Howard, 11 Grand children and 2 Great grand children. Funeral services will be held by Dr. James Fortinberry of Dover Shores Baptist Church on Sat, Nov. 17, 2007, 11 am, at Newcomer Funeral Home 895 S. Goldenrod Rd. Orlando, Fl. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Orlando. Visitation will be held on Fri. Nov. 16 from 5-9 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Dover Shores Baptist Church 551 Gaston Foster Rd. 32807 or Hospice of the Comforter 480 W. Central Parkway, Altamonte Springs, Fl. 32714.
