Charles Hinkle

Mr. Charles Hinkle, of Maitland, FL, transitioned from earth to glory on Monday, August 29, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family.

Charles was born on June 14, 1949 to Mary Harris and Charles Hinkle, Sr. Charles graduated from the Liberty, MO school system. Charles accepted Christ at the First Baptist Church of Liberty, MO. He met and married Beverly Ross. During this marriage, two sons were born, Eric and Chris Hinkle.

Charles loved being of service. He worked with the Kansas City Police Department before moving to St. Louis, MO. After moving to St. Louis, Charles met and married Gwendolyn Tate, where he gained two sons of love, Victor Dion and Jason Michael. He continued to be an asset and a commitment to help and serve. He worked as the head of security for the May Company and the St. Louis Cardinals.

Charles and his family later moved to Florida, where he was in management for Ocwen Financial. During his time in Florida, Charles continued his relationship with the Lord. He was a devoted husband, father, papa, brother, and uncle.

Charles leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Gwendolyn; his brothers, Owen (Diane) Hinkle of San Antonio, TX, and Richard Harris, Jr.; sisters Valerie O'Conner (Frank) and Vanessa Morgan, both from Liberty, MO; Victor Dion and Jason Tate, both of Florida; and his childhood friend, Clifford Jones of Liberty, MO. In addition, he is survived by six grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a host of family and friends.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at 11 am at Newcomer Funeral Home - South Seminole Chapel, 335 E. State Road 434, Longwood, FL.

Visitation with the family will precede the service from 10:00 am - 11:00 am at the funeral home.
