Charles "Chick" T. Plagianos, of Orlando, FL and formerly of Monroe Twp. NJ, passed away Wednesday January 7, 2015 with his family by his side.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Plagianos and Patricia (Livorakos) Plagianos.
He is survived by his loving wife , Donna (Monchek) Plagianos; his children Nicole Patterson (Sean) of Orlando, FL, Thomas Plagianos of New Brunswick, NJ, Michelle Plagianos (Richard Patterson) of Oviedo FL, Erin Gallagher of Old Bridge, Christopher Gallagher (Elizabeth) of Parlin, NJ, and Tracey Belgio (Anthony) of Old Bridge, NJ. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren who adored and will greatly miss their "Papou".
Chick served in the United States Army from 1964 - 1966.
Prior to relocating to Orlando, he was owner of Eastside Hair Co. in East Brunswick, NJ for many years.
Chick was greatly admired and respected, making friends wherever he went and touching the lives of many. We will miss his wisdom, humor and gentle heart.
Visitation is Sunday, January 11, 2015 from 1pm to 3pm at Newcomer Funeral Home (East Orlando Chapel).
Additional services will be held in New Jersey on January 14th handled by Selover Funeral Home, North Brunswick.
A Mass at Saint George's Greek Orthodox Church, Piscataway will be held at 10:00 am, January 15. Burial will be held at Van Liew Cemetery, North Brunswick.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the American Cancer Society in his name.
