Cherie Ann Hunt

March 8, 1951 — June 6, 2022

Cherie Anne Hunt, 71, of Orlando Florida passed peacefully in her sleep on Monday June 6th, 2022.

Cherie was born on March 8th, 1951 in El Paso, Texas and adopted by Gilbert and Eleanor Tereck. During her childhood she lived in Hawaii and Japan, amongst other places, while her father was in the Air Force. She graduated with an AA in Early Childhood Education from Cuyahoga Community College in Cleveland Ohio. In 1977 she moved with her family to Chickasaw Woods in east Orlando.

In 1986 she met Ronald Hunt and they were married at Leu Gardens by the trellis. Together they enjoyed going to the movies, going to parks, feeding birds and squirrels. They enjoyed shopping and going out for her favorite almond pastries at a local bakery.

Cherie loved to ride rollercoasters, and Ron would always wait for her at the exit. She was a fantastic cook and loved taking care of her husband. She was very poetic and enjoyed writing children's stories.

Cherie is survived by her loving husband Ron, siblings Michelle (Craig) Nelson, Robert (Ruth Ann) Tereck, and Michael (Melissa) Tereck, along with several nieces and nephews. The family has chosen a private memorial service.

Cherie was a nurturer, always thinking of others. She had an awesome, funny, and sometimes sarcastic sense of humor. You can even see a little bit of that now… she told Ron that she would be the first to go… she was stubborn that way.
