Chester Ray Zimmerman

Zimmerman, Sr. MSgt. USAF (Ret.) Chester Ray, age 84 of Sun City Center, FL, passed away Thursday May 24, 2007. He was born on April 2, 1923 in West Milton, PA. Mr. Zimmerman served in the US Airforce for 20 years. After having been shot down over Germany during WWII, Mr. Zimmerman was a POW for eighteen months. He is survived by his children Anita May, Brenda Vincent (John), Chester Ray Zimmerman, Jr. (Claudea), Kay Kane (Tim), Patricia Fisher (Rick), Deborah Goldman, Douglas Zimmerman, and George Zimmerman. He is also survived by his brother Jack Albert Zimmerman (Neta); 24 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 6-8PM on Tuesday May 29, 2007 at Newcomer Family Funeral Home, East Orlando. Funeral services will be held at 11AM on Wednesday May 30, 2007 at St. Stephen Lutheran Church in Longwood. Interment with military honors will follow at Highland Memory Gardens, Apopka. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to any veteran organization of your choice.
