Christopher D. Williams

October 3, 1947 — August 29, 2016

Christopher Dean Williams passed away after a long illness at the age of 68 on Monday,
August 29, 2016. He was surrounded by his family. He was born in Kansas City, MO,
the son of Butler "Red" Williams and Ellen Williams. Chris spent most of his upbringing
in Georgia and graduated from North Georgia College in 1970. He was married to his
wife, Marsha, for 46 years.

At the age of 56, and after 35 plus years in sales and marketing, Chris was facing several
health issues, and decided to get serious about his health. He made drastic lifestyle
changes and became a yoga instructor. He credited yoga with giving him the discipline to
maintain these life changes. Chris taught all levels of yoga students but showed a
particular interest towards seniors, beginners, kids, and those with health limitations. It
was his much-loved son, Nathan, who first suggested that he take up yoga for its physical
benefits, and he ultimately discovered that its mental and spiritual qualities were much
more profound.

Chris is survived by his wife, Marsha D. Williams, his daughter, Carrie Williams Fritz,
his son-in-law Matthew Fritz, and his grandchildren, Claire and Brendan, of
Elizabethtown, PA. He is also survived by his son, Nathan Williams, and son-in-law, Tom
Gibson, of Denver, CO. He is also survived by his sister, Tracy Thompson, and her
children, Michael, Jonathan, and Stevie, and extended family members. Chris had a deep
love for his family and truly adored his grandchildren. His best days were spent walking
the beach, teaching yoga, and enjoying time with his family and friends.
