Christopher Brian Smith of Deltona, Florida passed away on Monday, April 30, 2018.
Chris is survived by his father, Robert Smith of Altamonte Springs, Florida; his loving daughter, Hannah Kay Smith and his two grandchildren, Carter and Kayleigh of Colchester, Vermont; his sisters, Susan Smith of Newberry, South Carolina and Gina Smith of Longwood, Florida and his brother and sister in law, Gregory and Cho Smith of Washington, D.C. Chris is preceded in death by his mother, Caroline. He was loved and admired by all his nieces and nephews.
Chris was born in Burlington, Vermont to Robert and Caroline Smith on March 20th, 1965. He was a graduate of Lyman High School Class of 1983. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing and biking. Chris thoroughly enjoyed his yearly trips to Vermont to hunt and fish and was a constant fixture at Bike Week in Daytona Beach. He also enjoyed his fresh and salt water fishing excursions in the vast waters of Florida.
An adventurer at heart; Chris tried everything in life, the things he liked, he tried twice. What Chris valued most was the time spent with family and friends especially his daughter and grandchildren. He loved being "Poppa." He had tremendous love for Hannah and greatly valued the time he was able to spend with her. Chris was a generous person with his time and heart and was certainly unaware of the positive effect he had on so many people.
