Remembering Circe Zamora (nee Bermudez)
To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven …. (Ecc. 3:1)
A Time to be Born . . .
Born on September 25, 1973 in the Bronx, New York to Pedro Bermudez and Carmen Rivera, Circe, along with her younger brother, Victor Maurice, was raised by her mother and father, Victor Freytas, Sr.
A Time to Live . . .
Circe attended Riverdale Country School in the Bronx, New York, and graduated in 1991. She went on to attend Duke University, earning her BA in Comparative Area Studies in 1995. While she was attending Duke University, Circe's family relocated to Orlando, Florida. She then enrolled in the University of Florida College of Law in Gainesville, Florida and earned her Juris Doctor in 1998. She went on to work for several prestigious law firms in Orlando before establishing her own practice, Circe Zamora, Attorney at Law & Associates, P.A. in 2002. Circe married Guadalupe Zamora in 2001, and the couple was blessed with a beautiful daughter, Jasmine Loren, in 2005. Circe was devoted to her husband, daughter and pets (Peaches and Snowy) whom she fiercely loved. Above all, Circe loved the Lord. She was a faithful member of Calvary Assembly of God.
A Time to Die . . .
On Tuesday night, April 9, 2013, after a long struggle with colorectal cancer, Circe went home to be with the Lord. She was a caring mother, devoted wife, beautiful daughter and fun-loving sister.
She was an unwavering friend to all and a fighter for the downtrodden. She was a proud member of the Central Florida legal community. Her generosity and sense of humor were matched only by her beauty and loyalty.
