Clarence Claude Matthews

Clarence Claude Matthews, 64, of Orlando, graciously joined his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, May 16, 2017. Fondly known as "CC" was born on September 21, 1952 in Centre, AL to Clarence Hoover Matthews and the late Earline Morris-Matthews. CC was one of five children.

At an early age, his family relocated to Central Florida where he has been a long time resident of Orlando. CC was a graduate of Mid Florida Tech and later led a successful career as a contractor in the Tile Floor industry.

He married the love of his life, Pamela Schneider on August 14, 1992 and together they raised their daughter, Carrie. CC was an active member of the Discovery Church of Orlando and loved his church family.

He truly enjoyed being outdoors, gardening, watching wildlife and quality time with his family.

Memories will be cherished by his wife, Pamela Matthews; daughter, Carrie Matthews (Lucas Preston); father, Clarence; siblings, Robert Eugene Matthews (Kathleen), Danny Ray Matthews (Annette), Lisa Ann Matthews and Annette Matthews; 1 adoring grandson and his canine companion, Bubba; as well as nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

A Gathering of Family & Friends will be held from 4:30PM to 5PM on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home in Orlando, FL with a Celebration of CC's Life to follow at 5PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of CC to: CJD Foundation Inc., P.O. Box 5312, Akron, OH 44334.
