Clyde Edward Wilks, 87 of Winter Park, FL, beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend, went to be with The Lord on August 16, 2015. He was born on May 6 to Defna and Elvia Wilkes in Fayetteville, TN. He is survived by his wife Bettye, son Dennis, daughter Trease (Sinclair), son Bryan, grandson Ryan (Bostick), daughter-in-law Wanzor, Son-in-law Tim (Sinclair) and grand-daughter-in law Heather (Bostick), sisters Nellie Jo, Christine, Marilyn and Cheryl.
Clyde married the love of his life, Bettye McDougal on July 5, 1952 in Rossville, GA. They had 3 children and lived their lives devoted to their family and Jesus Christ. Clyde served 22 years in the US Air Force as a dietician living in the US and Overseas. He retired in 1969 and moved his family to Florida. He was actively involved with his church home at Aloma for 45 years.
He loved the beach and his home state of Tennessee. He lived a very full and happy life with his wife Bettye and family at his side and was loved by many. He never met a stranger and always had a kind word for anyone he met.
