Constance Irene Newman, age 87, of Orlando, Florida passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 in Orlando.
Constance was born on September 14, 1931 in Salem, MA where she spent much of her early life; daughter of the late John Roderiques and Irene (Scott) Corbett. She later met a sailor at Revere Beach and on February 10, 1952, she married Edward Newman. Constance was a longtime employee of GTE, where she worked as an electrical technician before her retirement.
After they both retired, the Newmans moved to Orlando, FL to be closer to their children, Keith and Carolyn along with her growing family. Their retirement years were filled with taking their kids, grandkids and great-grandkids on cruises, trips to the beach, and theme parks. Constance didn't care where she was, as long as she was surrounded by her family. When she left this earth on June 5th, she was still surrounded by family.
Constance is survived by her husband of 67 years, Edward Newman; a son, Gary Newman; a daughter, Carolyn Broom and her husband Duane; six grandchildren, Jamie Newman and his wife, Vivian, Deneige Broom, Duane "Trey" Broom, II, Tayla Newman, Cameron Broom, and Chandler Broom; two great-grandchildren, Julian Newman, and Jaden Newman; her sister, Rita Costa; and two brothers, Wilbur Rodriques, and John Corbett.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a son, Keith Newman.
