Walid was a Chief Petty Officer in the US Navy, a position he cherished. During his 21 years in
the service, he was stationed in Jacksonville, Japan, San Diego, Abu Dhabi and Pensacola. He
enjoyed his deployments at sea, riding the waves in aircraft carriers, visiting exotic ports.
Among his many passions, Walt Disney World was his favorite, followed by his Harleys. He was
a fan of hard rock concerts and followed his bands all over the country, always wearing a
Mickey Mouse shirt. Walid collected, LEGOS, posters, and Star Wars memorabilia. He was an
excellent chef and grill master. He was a loyal friend, and loving son. His honesty, generosity and integrity were beyond reproach.
