Cruz Correa , 89, passed away peacefully into God's loving hands on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 in Orlando, FL. Fondly known as Monin, she was born on July 2, 1927 in Ponce, Puerto Rico. Monin married her beloved sweetheart Manuel Correa for 58 years and together they raised five beautiful children.
Monin is remembered for being a selfless, loving, caring and strong mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was passionate about cooking, gardening and being the family champion of dominos. Her kind and precious spirit will remain in our hearts forever.
Monin was predeceased by her husband, Manuel in 2010.
She leaves beautiful memories to be cherished by her children (and their spouses), Elaine Perez (Frank) of Long Island, NY, Manuel Correa (Michelle) of Bronx, NY, Rosemary Swaniker (Tony) of Orlando, FL, Marilyn Correa (Carlos Febry) of Orlando, FL, , Andrew Correa (Luz) of Queens, NY; 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
In her last days, she was all smiles as she painted with all her children and told each of them "Que Dios me los bendiga y me los proteja."
A Gathering of Family & Friends will be held from 2:00PM to 2:30PM on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, East Orlando following with a Memorial Service at 2:30PM
