Cullen R. Vinson, age 68 of Casselberry, passed away Tuesday, March 11. He was born in Kinston, NC to Cullen Landis Vinson and Betty Adams Vinson. Mr. Vinson served with the US Marines in the Vietnam War, and retired after 20 years of service. He worked for defense contractors after retiring from active duty and later for nine years at the Seminole County Sheriff's Office as director of Operation Right Track. He was an active member at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Casselberry for 21 years, where he served as an elder. Mr. Vinson was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Sandra; children Jami Lynn Miller, Jeffery Stephen Vinson, both of Orlando and Stacey Annette Brown of Longwood; siblings Annette of NC, Jesse of GA, and Richard Thomas of PA; grandchildren John Cullen, Christopher Stephen, Jordan Ray, Joshua Landis, and Luke Alan, Nicholas Lee; great-grandson Landiss Matthew; several other family members in NC and his beloved dog Ellie. Visitation will be held this evening from 7PM-9PM at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 2641 Red Bug Rd., Casselberry. Funeral services will be held at 10AM Friday, March 14 at the church. Interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Westminster Presbyterian Church, Casselberry.
