Curtis Wade Haga

July 27, 1955 — November 10, 2020

Curtis Wade Haga, aged 65, passed away peaceably on Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2020 after a valiant eight year battle with a rare brain tumor.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 30 years, Priscilla, and 2 daughters and 1 son and spouses; Michelle and Sean McNamara of Portland, ME, Kelly and David Carwile of Loganville, GA, and Collin and Melissa Brown of Orlando, FL. He was also blessed with 5 grandchildren, Jerry and Abby Witunsky, Harmony Brown, and Trent and Jakob Carwile, and also loving kitty, Stormy. Curtis is also survived by his only brother, Bruce, of Long Beach, CA and 2 nephews, Brad and Jeff Haga.

Curtis was preceded in death by his parents, William (Bill) and Marian (Cooper) Haga.

Curtis had never planned to be a father. However, he gained 3 children with his marriage to Priscilla and became a strong, loving, and supportive father and devoted grandpa.

Curtis graduated from Battle Ground Academy, Franklin, TN in 1973 and Tennessee Tech University, Cookeville, TN in 1977. He was an Insurance Claims Adjuster for numerous companies and law firms for his entire career until the crash of 2008. What followed was his favorite job was as a part-time travel consultant with Universal Studios Orlando for about four years. Curtis was also well liked and appreciated by Priscilla's store managers as their sewing machine repair delivery driver.

Curtis was a passionate collector. He loved his coins and numismatic history and collecting many other things such as stamps, vintage games, and cameras. He also enjoyed collecting bicycles which he continued to ride regularly even after numerous surgeries.

Another passion that Curtis and Priscilla enjoyed together was traveling. They loved cruising as well as visiting their timeshares in Newport, RI and their "2nd home", New Orleans, LA.; even after enduring five lengthy tumor surgeries and the resulting disability they caused.

Due to COVID guidelines and restrictions, Curtis' celebration of life "party" will be conducted after the pandemic has subsided, as Curtis would have wanted.

Priscilla and the family would like to thank the many people across the country who provided priceless love, prayers, and support over the past several years.
