Dale E. Beatty

Dale Eugene Beatty, born December 15, 1924 in Union City, Indiana was called home to receive his blessing of eternal glory on Saturday May 3rd Graduating from high school during the turbulent times of World War II Dale joined the United States Navy. He proudly served aboard the aircraft carrier Bon Homme Richard in the Pacific theatre and received numerous medals and citations. Afterwards he met a beautiful blonde, Ann, who became the love of his life and they soon married. Dale attended the University of Dayton, was a member of their basketball team and graduated with a degree in Aeronautical Engineering. His career included time with Chrysler, Borg Warner, and Martin Marietta. A long time resident of Winter Park, Mr. Beatty was a member of the Eola Masonic Lodge and the Shriners. Dale and Ann had two sons Bruce, who has preceded both parents, and Michael. A blessing of 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren enriched their lives. He is survived by his son Michael Beatty, daughter-in-law Freda Beatty, grandson Matthew Beatty, former daughter-in-law Becky Patterson, granddaughters Rachel Bascom, Katherine Beatty, Alanna Beatty, great grandson Jacob Bascom, great granddaughter Chloe Romack. A service to celebrate his life will be held on Thursday May 8. Viewing will begin at 9 AM with a memorial service at 10 AM. Service will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, 895 S. Goldenrod Rd. Orlando Florida.
