Dawe, David Bartlett- Known as "Cap'n Dave". Was born in Lynn, MA, the son of Charles and Doris (Bartlett) Dawe of Medford. He was a graduate of Medford High School Class of 1955 and Cayne Electrical School of Boston. He learned to sail on Cape Cod- a lifelong adventure from New England to Florida & the Carribean- David proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1955 - 1959. He was employed by Polaroid Corporation of Cambridge, Spears Associates of Needham & Lockheed Martin of Orlando, FL. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen (Casey) and son, Brian of Orlando; son David of Buzzard's Bay, MA; daughter, Karen of New Bern, NC and 3 grandchildren, Danny, Victoria and Alexandra of Cape Cod. He attended Orlando Bible Church and had a ministry of delivering Bibles to fellow mariners. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, January, 28, 2004, in the Newcomer Family Funeral Home, 895 S. Goldenrod Road, Orlando. Visitation for friends will be held on Friday, from 1:30 PM until service time. His cremated remains will be scattered at sea from a U.S. Naval vessel.
