David J. Contos

David John Contos, 80, of Mount Dora, Florida passed away on September 21, 2015. He was born in Detroit, MI to the late Jacob Joseph and Marie Josephine Siciliano Contos and was the eldest of four children. David was a longtime resident of central Florida, where he raised his three boys and worked as an orthodist, helping people with special needs.

David will be remembered as a kind, generous man with an inventive and creative spirit. He was loved by all who knew him.

David is survived by his sons John, Jeff, and Brian Contos; his grandchildren Cole, Carter, and Cooper Contos, and his sisters Theresa Noland and Gloria Towler. He was preceded in death by his brother Gerald "Jerry" Contos.


Graveside service will be held at 2:30 pm Monday, September 28, 2015 at the Pine Forest Cemetery in Mount Dora, FL. Visitation will be from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm at the Newcomer Funeral Home in Longwood, FL also on September 28, 2015.
