On Saturday, September 28, 2019, David McLeod Sr., loving husband and father of three, passed away at the age of 85 at the AdventHealth East in Orlando Florida.
David was born on January 25, 1934 in Carriacou, Grenada. He was the son of the late Abraham and Leonora (Noel) McLeod. On May 14, 1960, he married Joan Nichols. David was a skilled woodworker and carpenter. He took great pride in his work and had a unique talent in bringing out the beauty in fine wood and rare antique pieces. A hard working family man, he was also known for his quick wit and infectious smile. David was strong in his Christian faith, and he was a member of Eastland Baptist Church. Most of all, he was devoted to his family.
David is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Joan; his son, David McLeod, Jr. of Brooklyn, NY; his two daughters, Lisa Hulse and her husband, Lloyd of Maitland, FL, and Angela McLeod; three grandchildren, Angelo McLeod, Nicholas Hulse, and Shahid Mohammed; a brother, Abraham McLeod and his wife Hermina of England; and three sisters, Rebecca Phillips of Brooklyn, NY, Maude Jeremiah of Washington, DC, and Faith McLeod of Orlando.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Isaac McLeod; and a sister, Rose McLeod.
Funeral Services will be on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at 10:00 am at Eastland Baptist Church located at 9000 Lake Underhill Road Orlando, Florida 32825 with Pastor Daniel Green officiating.
Visitation with the family will precede the service on Saturday from 9:00 am - 10:00 am at the church.
