David Julio Quintero, Sr.

May 20, 1937 — December 5, 2021

On Sunday, December 5, 2021, David J. Quintero, Sr., loving father of five children and grandfather to seven grandchildren passed away peacefully at the age of 84 at the AdventHealth Hospice in Altamonte Springs, FL

David was born in Maracaibo, Venezuela on May 20,1937 and was the youngest son of the late Abraham and Ana Eliza (Negretti) Quintero who had eight other siblings that included five older brothers that have previously passed named: Luis Quintero, Carlos Quintero, Manuel Quintero, Marcos Quintero and Abraham Quintero and who was survived by three older sisters named: Ana Longo, Emilia Lugo and Julia Gonzales.

David learned at a young age how to start his own business, which he named Quinze, Inc. by combining the beginning of his last name and of his former's spouse last name. He was not only the Chief Operating Officer, but sole owner. He envisioned, designed, developed a multi apartment complex which he proudly named "El Nazareno" after Jesus of Nazareth. Later his company took off from the ground up and continued to progress.

David envisioned many more possibilities for his family and therefore decided to uproot his family to America. In December of 1981 it became a reality when Metairie, LA became the new home for the Quinteros. Making a living in America was harder, but that never deterred David from making a living for his family. David had several contracts with different lines of businesses in which he won some and lost some.

David found a passion for fishing. The first ever fishing trip the entire family went to was in Grand Isle, LA. Later, he decided to make his own lures and weights. David tried to go fishing whenever possible when he wasn't working, literally every single weekend with the entire family. After his children grew up and started their own lives David didn't get chances to go on fishing trips, but he got a lot closer to God.

David is survived by his four sons: David G. Quintero and his wife, Bertha, of Dallas, TX; David J. Quintero, Jr. and his wife, Tracy, of Metairie, LA; David A. Quintero and his wife, Laura, of Destrehan, LA; David A. Quintero and his wife, Reena, of Winter Garden, FL and his only daughter, Lissette C. Quintero, of Clermont, FL, plus his seven grandchildren: Dominic W. Quintero, Dyan N. Quintero, Ashley E. Quintero, Alison C. Quintero, Rohan D. Quintero, Gabriella A. Schwieterman and Sophia G. Quintero; and his former spouse, Ana G. Zedan of Clermont, FL
