Brawn, David W.- Age 57, of 8841 El Prado Avenue, Orlando, died Wednesday, July 27, 2005 at his home while under the care of family and Hospice of the Comforter.
David was born on May 29, 1948 in North Tonawanda, NY to the late Sidney A. and Margaret (Mathews) Brawn. He had been a resident of Orlando since 1952. He joined the army in May of 1967. He served in Germany during his service and was honorably discharged in October of 1968.
David married Karen Smith of Orlando on July 9, 1971.
He was employed by CB Richard Ellis as a maintenance technician.
He enjoyed wood working, traveling in his RV, following NASCAR and riding his scooter around the neighborhood.
He was a Christian and a member of First Baptist Church of Union Park.
He really enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren.
In addition to being survived by his wife Karen, David is survived by his son Tyler and daughter-in-law Emily of Columbus, GA, grandsons Caleb and Sammy of Columbus, GA, brothers, Gerald (Gloria) Brawn of Lexington, SC and James (Bernee) Brawn of New Hope, PA. He is also survived by his mother-in-law Naomi Abernathy of Orlando, FL and brother-in-law, Michael Smith of Orlando, FL. David has many cousins, nieces and nephews scattered across the country. He was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Lampman, a brother, Sidney Thomas "Junie" Brawn and his granddaughter, Grace Brawn.
The family will be receiving guests on Saturday, July 30, 2005 at Newcomer Family Funeral, 895 S. Goldenrod Road, Orlando from 1:00 - 3:00 PM with a funeral service begining at 3:00.
