Mr. David Walsh, age 66, of Deltona, passed away March 6, 2015. Born February 19, 1949 in Redding California. Mr. Walsh was a long time resident of Central Florida.
Mr. Walsh was survived by his wife Melanie; son Scott Walsh; daughters Jessica Price and Shanna Doser; brothers Michael B. and Steven Walsh; eleven grandchilDavid Paul Walsh, better known as Dave to his friends, passed away on Friday, March 6th, 2015. He was born and raised in Redding California. Dave moved to Florida when he was drafted out of high school by the New York Yankees in the 76th round of the 1967 MLB June Amateur Draft from Enterprise HS (Redding, CA). He Played for 2 years before an injury took him out of the game. Dave worked in the forest product industry for 20 years as a plywood plant manager, then moved to the product side and was Sales Manager for Calvert Manufacturing in Longwood, FL and became partial owner. Dave retired in 2012.
In his retirement, Dave had many passions. He was an avid golfer. He played at least 3 times a week and on the weekends with his wife Jeannie. He loved to cruise. Dave and Jeannie were on a cruise ship at least 2 times a year. He loved to hunt with his brothers Michael and Steve and his son Scott. He loved all sports and kept up with every stat or player/coach move. He loved to play and hunt lizards with JD, his loyal friend and wiener dog. He never met a stranger and would talk to everyone.
