Deborah "Deb" A. Fadool, age 67, passed away on December 7, 2023, at her home in Orlando, FL. Born July 22, 1956, in Aliquippa, PA, as the youngest child of the late Anthony "Buddy" Fadool and Gertrude Fadool (Blinkiewicz), Deb spent her early years enjoying time with extended family, making lifelong friends and attending Aliquippa Public Schools. Given the terrain, she could honestly claim walking uphill to school in the snow both ways.
Deb graduated from Quigley Catholic High School in 1974. She left home to attend Slippery Rock University where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Education in 1978. After graduation, she embarked on a career in service to others, managing programs for adults with developmental disabilities.
In 1982, Deb moved to Largo, FL, to be closer to her retired parents. She met and fell in love with her partner Mark Luce in 1983. They were brought together by their shared enjoyment of live music and harmony. The couple moved to Orlando in 1998, where Deb served as project director of AARP Foundation's Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP) until her retirement.
She was passionate about music, great food, and travel and could find a Steelers fan or a Pittsburgh accent in the unlikeliest places. Deb will be remembered for her love of family and her ability to make friends wherever she went – all of whom will miss her dearly.
Deb was preceded in death by her brother, Anthony; and her nephew, Tony Joe. She is survived by her partner, Mark Luce; her siblings, Larry (Rose), Ray (Joani), and Phyllis Cercone (Tom); her nieces and nephews; Tom Cercone (Sandy); Chris Fadool (Jodi), Meghan Fadool-Agatep (Ron), Karen (Fadool) McGrail (Chris), and Angelina Fadool; and 8 grandnieces and nephews.
Celebrations of Life will be held in Orlando at 1:00 pm on January 6th at Newcomer, 895 S. Goldenrod Rd., and in Pittsburgh at 12:00 noon on January 12th at Tatalovich's Funeral Home, 3475 Brodhead Rd., Monaca, Pa 15061, to honor her and to celebrate a life well-lived.
It was Deb's wish that in lieu of flowers, any memorial tributes be made in the form of charitable donations to Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida.
