Debra Lynn Szraga

Debra Lynn Szraga, affectionately known as Nana, Mom, or simply Deb, passed away on September 1, 2024, in Orlando, Florida. She was born on July 12, 1955, in Manhattan, New York, and spent her life surrounded by the love of family and friends.

Debra was a devoted wife to Greta Miller and a loving mother to her three children: George Szraga, MaryEllen Szraga, and Christine Ruiz. She was a proud grandmother to 11 grandchildren and delighted in the joy of being a great grandmother to three great grandchildren. Her family was the center of her universe, and she cherished every moment spent with them.

Debra was previously married to George Szraga, with whom she shared many years of companionship. Despite their separation, they maintained a respectful relationship, focused on the well-being of their family.

Known for her humor and charisma, Debra had a unique way of making everyone feel special. She embraced life with the motto, "It is what it is," reminding those around her to find peace in accepting life’s challenges. In her free time, she enjoyed playing bingo, solving puzzles, and creating lasting memories during family gatherings.

Debra is survived by her beloved wife, Greta, her children, and her siblings, Donna Chrzan and Theresa Di Preta. Her legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering support will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
