Delbert Harold Matlack

Delbert Harold Matlack, age 93, of Winter Park, Florida passed away on Friday, December 6, 2024.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter Hibbard Matlack and Mabel Mary Matlack, and sons, Thomas Peter Matlack, James Lewis Matlack, Douglas Edward Matlack and James Matlack. 

He is survived by his wife, Caroline A. Matlack, son, Michael Patrick Matlack, Son, Richard Denton Matlack, Daughter, Teresa Rose McDonald, Daughter, Carol Lynne Uhrich, Son, Joseph Daniel Matlack 22 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Del was a super salesman.  He loved jazz music and played the drums.  He had a quick wit and was always the life of the party.  Del was a swing dancer.  He and his wife Kay loved to dance together.  He wrote poems to his wife, children and friends.  He wrote 3 children's books.  He was a family man who absolutely loved his wife and children.

Visitation is Thursday, December 12, 2024 from 12:00 pm to 2:30 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions (Winter Park Chapel). 

Mass of Christian Burial is Thursday, December 12, 2024 at 3:00 pm at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Winter Park, FL.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Vitas Hospice in Delbert's honor.
