Obituary for Dennis "Jay" Hugill II
May 15, 1977- April 6, 2022
Jay awakened in heaven after taking his final breath on April 6, 2022 at 12:51 AM surrounded by his loving family and friends.
Jay is survived by his parents Denny and Teresa Hugill, loving wife Denise Buffardi Hugill and his precious children: Dylan, Drew, Delaney and their mother Shannon Hugill; his grandmother Wanda Roberts, his sister Kimberly and her husband John Erik Moseler, along with their children Logan, Peyton and Emerson. In addition, he leaves multiple aunts, uncles, and close family friends.
Graduating from The Master's Academy in 1995, Jay then went on to obtain a Bachelor's degree on December 16, 2000 from UCF in Management of Information Systems. After graduation, Jay moved on to begin his career at FedEx as an IT computer analyst where he has remained for his nearly 22-year career. He was known as a very driven, consistent and hardworking employee, winning several awards during his career. More importantly, he was known as a very kind and good person.
Like all humans, Jay was imperfect. However, he was such a gentle soul and never wanted to displease or disappoint anyone. He enjoyed laughing and spending time with his children and family. He made meaningful, unforgettable memories on family vacations at the beach and in the mountains. In addition, he enjoyed fishing with his father, children and nephews. He also enjoyed going to the gun range with his son and other family members. Spending quality time alone with his wife, playing ball with his son, daddy dates with his daughter and time with his loving parents will never be forgotten. Jay was generous and caring, and, even after death, was able to give the gift of life to many others through organ donation.
A celebration of Jay's life will be held at Orlando Baptist Church at 500 S. Semoran Blvd Orlando, FL 32807 on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at 6 PM with Pastor Dustin Janney officiating. A visitation will precede the service on Tuesday from 4PM-6PM at the church.
In 2012 Jay went on a mission trip with his mother and father to Haiti. There he spent time serving children and adults in a struggling mountain community.
