Derrick Anthony Brown, 60 years old went to be with the Lord on Thursday October 12, 2023.
Derrick was born in Prickly Pole Jamaica West Indies on June 14, 1963, to Stanley Brown and Vera Luke.
He emigrated to the United States (Bronx, NY) January 1973 where he lived the entirety of his life.
Derrick attended and graduated from Dewitt Clinton High School in the Bronx, NY. Afterwards he was employed as a brick worker in New York City, NY.
Derrick was a gifted electrician and enjoyed working with his hands. He enjoyed music and spending time with his friends.
He is survived by his mother Vera Luke and brother Gregory Lewis. Derrick is also survived by his uncle Kenneth Luke, and many cousins in Jamaica, Florida, and New York. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Vernal & Jestina Luke, aunt Etheline Luke, and uncles Herbert Luke and Eupert Luke.
A celebration of life will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, October 30, 2023, at Newcomer Funeral Home, South Seminole Chapel, 335 E State Rd 434, Longwood, FL.
