In Loving Memory of
Diana Gayle Peeler
Diana Gayle Weber Elsberry Peeler
Feb. 4, 1943 - Nov. 30, 2022
Not many can boast a lifelong residency of Orlando, but Diana was born and raised here. She never lived anywhere else but Orlando. She raised her boys in Orlando, and made her home in East Orlando as she watched the city become a hub for tourists, and grow into the beautiful city that it is today.
In her early childhood life, she became skilled in needle work. She was an expert at embroidery, needle point, crochet, and quilting. She enjoyed making her own dresses, and clothes. When the expectancy of her granddaughter came, she spent days creating and making all the things the new baby would need in the nursery.
Diana's creativity stretched over into the kitchen, in fact she read and collected all kinds of cookbooks, subscribed to the best cooking magazines, and watched cooking shows on television. Cooking was always part of her daily routine, all the way to her last days. She loved watching her family and friends enjoy meals that she would prepare. During the Holidays, she would make enough food to feed an army. With such a variety of dishes, there was never enough room to sample them all.
She was also a hairdresser by trade, who's client's sought after her perfection. Diana taught cosmetology at Woody's institute. After she retired, she volunteered at the nursing home each week, providing hair services to the residents.
Diana was known to always volunteer. As a mother she worked with the PTA, and Police auxiliary. She spent the later part of her life volunteering at her church's local thrift store.
Favorite past times for Diana were fishing with her husband (Chester), watching her favorite shows and movies, and loving up on her feline friends at home. Nothing was more enjoyable than spending time with her granddaughter (Jessica). She also lived to see and enjoy her grandson and great grandsons, of which brought her great joy, and laughter!
She will always be cherished in the hearts of her surviving family, which include, her two Sons: Dan Elsberry, Jr and Scott Elsberry, wife Belinda;Step Daughter, Christy Balderson, husband Steve; Grandson Evan; Granddaughter, Jessica Cowles, husband Ryan; Great Grandsons Jackson, and Hudson. Preceded in death by her Parents, Theodore H. Weber II and Juanita Faye Weber; Her Brother, Theodore H. Weber III and her Beloved Husband, Chester Ray Peeler
