Diana Dorothy Thomas, age 93, of Orlando, Florida passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2019.
Diana was born on January 13, 1926 in Lynch, KY; daughter of the late Samuel and Annie (Turnsek) Vucicevich. On March 26, 1949, she married her husband, James. Diana was a longtime assistant buyer for Jordan Marsh before her retirement in 1984.
Diana was a selfless and humble woman. She always made time for everyone else. She loved to cook, spend time with family, and to walk and be outside. Most of all, Diana loved being with her family. She also enjoyed listening to Frank Sinatra often and loved to watch ice skating with her granddaughters. Health and taking care of yourself was something that was very important to Diana.
Diana is survived by her husband of 70 years, Jim; her daughter, Deborah Whitaker and her husband, Jack; her grandson, Christopher Hamil; three great-granddaughters, Sarah Crawford and her husband, Michael, Courtney Hamil, and Christina Hamil; four great-great granddaughters, Carly Hamil, Zoey Crawford, Erykah Brunson, and Stella Crawford; two brothers, George Vukich and his wife Stephanie, and Nick Vukich, and his wife, Pat; and a sister, Lillian Massa.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Nadia Phelan.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2019 at 11:00 am at Newcomer Funeral Home - East Orlando Chapel, 895 S. Goldenrod Rd, Orlando, FL 32822.
Visitation with the family will be prior to the service from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the funeral home.
