Diane L. Hall

September 22, 1956 — March 28, 2022

Mrs. Diane Lynn Hall, age 65, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 28th, in her home in Longwood, Florida surrounded by loved ones after a long battle with Parkinson's Disease.

Born on September 22nd, 1956, in Waukegan, Illinois to Bill and Lois Sooley, Diane was a graduate of Grayslake High School. She married Richard Phillip Hall on September 8th, 2007, during their top-producing careers at Coldwell Banker.

Diane will always be remembered for her generosity, kindness, hospitality, party planning, decorating, cut-out cookies, her love for her kitties and all things organization, and as a compassionate champion of children. For more than fifteen years, Diane served as a volunteer with New Hope for Kids, helping children process losses of their family members, and as a volunteer for Guardian ad Litem, looking after neglected and abused children.

Diane was diagnosed in 2008 with Young Onset Parkinson's Disease. One of Diane's proudest achievements was authoring her book, "Giggles with Grandma," a book about Parkinson's Disease meant to be a lighter way to look at Parkinson's through the eyes of a child. The book was sold and distributed through Diane's LLC, Flight of Faith.

Diane is survived by her husband, Richard; her children, Brandon and Brittany West; her daughter-in-law, Shelley West; her grandsons, Landen and Parker; four brothers, Alan, David, Douglas and Brian; her sister, Karen; many nieces, nephews, and cousins and a host of step-children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Memorial contributions can be made to New Hope For Kids in Maitland, Florida (newhopeforkids.org) or the Michael J. Fox Parkinson's Research Foundation (michaeljfox.org).
