Dolores Hernandez-Reyes

Dolores fue más que una abuela para mí, me acogió desde la tierna edad de 6 meses cuando mis Padres no podian cuidar de mi. Me llevaría durante medio año o más todos los años antes de que pudiera comenzar mi primer año de escuela. Después de eso, todos los años pasaba de 9 a 10 meses seguidos conmigo y solo volaba de regreso a su país durante 2 o 3 meses durante el año escolar para que yo nunca estuviera sola. Dolores no solo fue mi abuela sino mi amiga, confidente y quien me introdujo a mi fe cristiana. Ella me ayudó a salvarme física, mental y espiritualmente. Ella ha ayudado a muchos otros a conocer al Señor y caminar con el Señor. A través de sus oraciones, bondad, generosidad y alma pura, mostró a muchos cómo debe ser una mujer de Dios. Se preocupó por tantas personas y niños durante su vida, fue la cocinera más increíble ya que todo lo que hizo fue con amor por los demás. Era una mujer llena de mucha sabiduría y fe en el Señor. Casi me quedo sin palabras para describirla, ya que se quedan cortas para el verdadero ángel que era. Ella fue mi abuela, mi ejemplo y mi heroína. Siempre te amaré y te recordaré hasta el final de mi propia vida. Gracias por todo y gracias Señor por el regalo y la bendición que ella fue en mi vida, la de mi madre, y en la de todos los que la conocieron. 💗


Dolores was more than a grandmother to me, she took me into her care from the very tender age of 6 months. She'd take me for half a year or more every year before I can start my first year of school. Every year after that she'd spend 9 -10 months at a time with me and only fly back to her country for 2-3 months during the school year so that I wouldn't ever be alone. Dolores was not only my grandmother but my friend, confidant, and the one who introduced me to my Christian faith. She helped saved me physically, mentally, and spiritually. She has helped many others come to know the lord and walk with the lord. Through her prayers, kindness, generosity, and pure soul she showed many what a woman of God should be like. She cared for so many people and children during her lifetime, she was the most amazing cook as everything she made was with love for others. She was a woman full of so much wisdom and faith in the Lord. I am almost left without words to describe her as they fall short to the true angel that she was. She was my grandmother, my example, and my hero. I will always love you and remember you until the end of my own life. Thank you for everything and thank you Lord for the gift and blessing she was in my life, my mother's, as well as everyone else who knew her. 💗
