Dolores Margarita Recio, better known as Maggie, age 89, of Lake Mary, FL passed away on Saturday, June 5, 2021.

Maggie was born on October 11, 1931 in Camaguey, Cuba; daughter of the late Joaquin Rodriguez and Josefa "Margot" Estrada. She was a strong woman of faith, who attended Mass regularly, and was an expert seamstress. Above all, Maggie was a devoted and caring mother, and a doting and adoring grandmother and great-grandmother. Her children and grandchildren were her greatest joy in life.

Maggie was preceded in death by her husband, Jose Ignacio Recio, of Camaguey, Cuba; her parents; a son, Jose Ignacio Recio; and a daughter, Graciela Josefina Recio.

She is survived by her daughter, Isabel Levine Recio of Eastlake, OH; sons, Agustin Recio of Lake Mary, FL and Guillermo Recio and his wife Eleanor, of Lake Mary, FL; five grandchildren, Gaby Recio-Victoria and husband Jose, Adriana Recio, Jessica Madow and husband Steven, Alex J. Recio, and Caroline M. Recio; and four great-grandchildren, Gabriel Quiles, Julio Recio, Levi Teeling, and Stephanie Teeling.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at 11:00 am at Nativity Catholic Church, 3255 N Ronald Reagan Blvd, Longwood, FL 32750, with Rev. David Scotchie officiating.

Visitation with the family will precede the Mass at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 am – 11:00 am.

Dolores Margarita Recio, mejor conocida como Maggie, de 89 años, de Lake Mary, FL falleció el Sábado, 5 de Junio de 2021.

Maggie nació el 11 de Octubre de 1931, en Camagüey, Cuba; hija del fallecido Joaquín Rodríguez y Josefa "Margot" Estrada. Era una mujer de mucha fe, que asistía a misa con regularidad y era una costurera experta. Sobre todo, Maggie era una madre, abuela y bisabuela dedicada, cariñosa, y adorada. Sus hijos y nietos fueron su mayor alegría en la vida.

A Maggie le precedieron en su muerte su esposo, José Ignacio Recio de Camagüey, Cuba; sus padres; su hijo, José Ignacio Recio; y su hija, Graciela Josefina Recio.

Le sobreviven sus hijos Isabel Levine Recio, Agustín Recio y Guillermo Recio junto con su esposa Eleanor Recio; nietos: Gaby Recio-Victoria junto con su esposo José Victoria, Adriana Recio, Jessica Madow junto con su esposo Steven Madow, Alex J. Recio y Caroline M. Recio; y bisnietos, Gabriel Quiles, Julio Recio, Levi Teeling y Stephanie Teeling.

Se celebrará una misa fúnebre el Miércoles 9 de Junio de 2021 a las 11:00 am en Nativity Catholic Church, 3255 N Ronald Reagan Blvd, Longwood, FL 32750, con el Rev. David Scotchie oficiando.
El velorio con la familia precederá a la misa en la Iglesia Nativity de 10:00 am a 11:00 am.
