Royer, Donald D.- Age 82 of Leesburg, FL, passed away on Friday, June 13, 2008 in Erwin, TN. He was born in Waynesboro, VA and moved to Florida in 1959. He was the former owner of a Burger King, Maryland Fried Chicken, H & M Restaurant and Pizza Hut all in Sanford, FL. He served 3 years in the U.S. Navy as a Signalman durng World War II. He always believed in honesty.
He is survived by his daughters, Connie Smith of Sanford, FL and Colleen D. Wardrup (Terry Joe) of Limestone, TN. Son-in-Law, Michael Smith of Georgia; grandchildren, Jamie Wardrup of Jellico, TN, Tarra Wardrup of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Jeff Warren Smith (Rachael) of Indianapolis, IN; great grandchildren, Sydney , Luke and Ian Smith and Avery Rayne Jones. He was preceeded in death by his wife, Gertrude Royer on December 10, 2000.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at the Leesburg First Assembly of God, 4001 Picciola Road, Fruitland Park, FL. Interment will follow in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL. Visitation will be held at Newcomer Family Funeral Home, 895 S. Goldenrod Road, Orlando on Tuesday evening from 6:00 - 9:00 PM.
