Slover, Donald E.- 87 of Apopka. Passed on Nov. 11, 2007. Born in Columbus Kansas he moved to Orlando in 1937. He was a Mason and Shriner, Lifetime member of V.F.W. and belonged to the Moose. He served in the Navy 4 years then joined the Orlando Police Department in 1945. He was a realtor, and builder, owned 3 poultry farms and was also in the nursery business before retiring. He is also a member of Zellwood United Methodist Church. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years Kathryn, two sons Donald L. of Tennessee and Robert E. of Apopka, two daughters-in-law, Barbara J. of Tennessee and Barbara A. of Apopka. He was preceded by a daughter Nancy Lee Slover. He has 6 grandsons and 1 granddaughter, 3 great-grandsons 1 step-great-grandson and 1 great-great- granddaughter, several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, in Newcomer Family Funeral Home, 895 S. Goldenrod Rd., Orlando. Internment will be at Greenwood Cemetery.
