Donna Lackey Bolick

Donna L. Bolick, 80, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 14, 2016.
Donna was born on February 23, 1935 in Vandergrift, PA to John T. Lackey and Elsie L. Patterson.
At age 3, the family relocated to Hickory, NC where Donna had a very adventurous childhood with her brother Linford and friends. Her favorite times were horseback riding at an uncle's ranch in Oklahoma.
Donna first met her future husand, Boyd Bolick, when she was 13. They were later married on March 5, 1952 and had three children. Even though Donna worked a few jobs over the years, her main occupation was a homemaker. She loved to cook, sew, dance, and play board games and cards. She loved gospel music, especially the Gaithers, and loved mystery shows like "Law and Order." She loved animals of all types and gave to several charities.
Donna is survived by her son Everette Bolick (Terrie), son Glenn Bolick, and daughter Carol Butler. She had six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.
She will be greatly and dearly missed.
Services will be held on Monday, February 22, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home in Orlando. Visitation will take place from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM followed by the funeral service at 12:00 PM.
